![]() I was surprised at this location for something special with my hubby, and let me explain the horrible experience I had. In my opinion my husband has been unfairly judged and discriminated against and the AURA, AXIS and AMBIANCE will never get my business again! So Yelpers, if you are thinking of booking here please be aware of the background checks that are being done now because no matter how long ago or how minor the offense you will encounter the same situation that I just did. Now AURA owners, let's get something CLEAR, his background is literally from years ago, non violent and DEFINITELY existed when he USE to be a member before so where was these rules then? He is a great husband, father and hard worker and his past should NOT dictate if he is allowed to book a room for his 6 year anniversary or even stay with me as a guest!! This place has NEVER had any issues from our past stays which should be a major factor! Upon check-in I was told that we couldn't get the room because my guest was not allowed on the property! Apparently it is in their system that my husband cannot be a member or even a guest! Now, if his membership renewal was denied that's fine but why is he not allowed to even be MY guest?! I called, booked our room and our anniversary night was back on!! I was told upon booking that they only catered to couples so my guest had to be present with a valid ID when I checked-in.again no problem.īut here is what the warning and -1 is about. Instead of finding another hotel I decided to go through the same online renewal process for my membership and was approved in less than 30min. He wasn't going to let that ruin his plans for our anniversary night so he revealed the surprise and told me about his membership denial. He tried calling the number that they listed to see what this could be about but he could never get through to anyone. He received a text message about 30min later stating that he was not approved for the membership due to something about a "public records search". After going online and answering multiple questions that in my opinion were absolutely ridiculous, he submitted his application AND paid an extra $10 to have it reviewed in 1hr or less so that he could book the room asap. When he called to do so he was told that renewals have to be done online now which wasn't a problem. My husband (who has been a member just as long as I have) tried to renew his membership to surprise me and book a room for our anniversary. If you've ever stayed here before then you are familiar with (at the time of booking) the $40-50 membership fee included and needed to book. **Long review but please read until the end if you are considering being a guest here**Īs you can see I wrote a pretty good review for this hotel over 3 years ago and has since visited again multiple times for various special occasions.
