I'll be sure to report in once I get mine. Dealers haven't been discounting sound upgrades at all yet. ![]() I also read on the forums though that the base model is prewired for the missing two subwoofers and that you can get them on ebay for $100 instead of the $560 option cost. Sound upgrade - I'm an audiophile so I'd definitely would upgrade the sound. If you go premiere they force leather on you. I passed on them currently living in the bay area but I would get heated seats if you live somewhere where it snows. ![]() There is also heated seats for both leather and cloth. I believe you can turn on the volt's AC remotely to mitigate that. My first car was leather in blistering New Mexico sun. I'd try it out on the volt.Ĭloth vs leather I've always been a cloth guy. On the Tesla I really love the automatic parking. ) The base model has a backup camera so it's not necessary. I didn't test the park assist (had no idea it was a feature until after the test drive. The volt was automatic braking for me on a tight curve with trees on the edge so it was a deal breaker for me. The automatic braking is nice as long as you don't take a tight curve with objects next to the road. The lane departure warnings were more like nagging if you forgot to use a turn signal. I test drove a volt with those packages and I feel it's more of a gimmick in the volt than a lifesaver with the Tesla. The only thing you must have premiere for is the driver confidence packages. Essentially the options aren't considered at all in its 3 year predicted resale value other than the leather seats. On the premiere the lease residuals are lower. I'm taking possession of the base 2017 volt tomorrow. (On the other hand, it sounds like Premier would have a much shorter wait time then comfort.) There is an AC sticker in the engine bay of your 2017 Volt that indicates if it requires R134a refrigerant or the newer R1234YF type to do a recharge. To me, the comfort package seems like a good deal compared to the premier as wheel aesthetics aren't important to me, and Bose speakers are not worth $3K for me! What type of refrigerant does a 2017 Chevrolet Volt use Air conditioning systems can vary so it is critical that you check the sticker in the engine bay to determine your Volt refrigerant type. I welcome any comment about these features. These two are listed as features of the comfort package but are also listed as part of the base LT package?ĬDN $1,185 (probably similar in US, but I don't have the exact number) * Mirrors (outside heated, inside rearview auto-dimming)Ĭost = US$4,350 (about the same in Canada) ![]() I'm trying to decide whether it is worth the extra $ for the Premier - want to make sure I have my facts straight.
